Edward Norton To Play Villain In The Bourne Legacy

It's been a while since I done any movie news, not because there hasn't been any I've just been busy with the TV and movie reviews of late, the movie news feature is something that will be coming more often as it used to, I just seem to have been busy with other stuff lately.

There has been so much hype surrounding this movie already, and as yet they haven't even started filming it.  Our first thought on it was, who is going to play Jason Bourne?  We quickly learned that this is not an issue for the movie will not star Matt Damon nor will any character in the movie be named Jason Bourne.

We knew that director Tony Gilroy was on the lookout for a big name to be in the movie.  Jake Gyllenhaal, Toby Maguire and Josh Hartnett were all names banded around at the time but have come to nothing more than speculation and rumour.  To now the only stars confirmed for the movie are Jeremy Renner and Rachel Weisz, so that's a good start I suppose.  Weisz is believed to be involved to play the love interest of the assassin at point and Renner is well up on the spy movie genre with his part in Mission Impossible.

Now we are hearing whispers that Edward Norton is in talks to appear as the villain in the movie.  Norton who does not align himself with many big Hollywood movies would be a welcome addition to the movie and really give The Bourne Legacy it's own identity helping us move on from a franchise that some people believe will not be the same without Matt Damon as Jason Bourne.
