This is a show that attracted my attention a good few months ago now, for some reason or other I just never got round to writing about it. The thing that first drew me was the fact that it’s produced by J.J. Abrams and his team who made hit TV show Lost, second to that it also stars one of Lost’s most mysterious Characters Ben Linus.
The show is set in the present day and follows Mr. Finch (Michael Emerson/Lost) a mysterious billionaire who has developed software that can predict the names of people who are going to be involved in violent crime in the future. Like any computer program it has it’s glitch's and it cannot distinguish weather the person will be the suspect, victim or witness it also cannot predict where the crime will happen. John Reese (Jim Caviezel/Deja Vu) is a former CIA agent who is presumed dead, he is hired by Mr Finch to help stop the crimes taking place. Check out the trailer below and let me know what you think.
Looking at the trailer I think the show looks even better again, you can’t help but draw comparisons from Minority Report starring Tom Cruise although there I think the technology may have been more advanced in knowing exact details but we’ll see.
As well as the actors mentioned above the show also stars Taraji P. Henson (The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button / Hustle & Flow) and Kevin Chapman(Mystic River / Unstoppable), according to network CBS the show received the highest test ratings of any show in the last 15 years, so it should be really worth watching.
