What's on at the pictures this week? Well stick around and I'll tell you, just like last week this should prove to be another good one with plenty going on in a couple of new comedy movies which have heavy weight casts, an absolute cracker of a movie about espionage and then there is this other one with Sarah Jessica Parker in, that in all honesty will probably be the only one I manage to catch.
I'll start this week with the biggest movie as always, Espionage thriller Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. A movie that seemed to appear from no where, by the time I heard of it the trailer wasn't worth posting but, it's here for you now along with my usual little ditty.
Starring: Gary Oldman, Colin Firth, Tom Hardy, John Hurt and Benedict Cumberbatch
The movie is set in the 1970's and is based on a book of the same name which was released in 1974. The story follows espionage veteran George Smiley, a former MI6 agent who in the days of the Cold War is forced out of semi retirement in order to uncover a Soviet double agent working in the British intelligence community.
The movie comes with a stellar cast including recent Oscar winner Colin Firth, in all honesty it's not the kind of thing I would normally watch, the Bourne movies are a bit more my thing but out of everything released this weekend I would put this top of my list.
Am I the only one who thinks Jason Bateman is in everything at the moment? Probably not. The Change Up is a movie I can tell you a little more about, it's one of those that I feel like I've already seen due to the amount of trailers released and promotion time the actors have had on TV.
Starring: Ryan Reynolds, Jason Bateman, Leslie Mann and Olivia Wilde
Growing up Mitch and Dave have been the best of friends, as they get older they grow further apart with Dave getting a high paid job, married and having kids. Mitch on the other hand has none of that, no responsibility at all and from the outside looking in he wants some of Dave's action. Following a drunken night out the friends wake up in each others body's and quickly discover that neither of their lives are as rosy as they first seemed.
Ok girls calm down I know Ryan Reynolds is in the movie, and yes I'll admit he is funny, ha thought I was going to admit something else there, right? No seriously he is a funny guy but this type of thing has been done before, Tom Hanks (Big) and Jennifer Garner (13 Going On 30). The laughs will be there but I don't think they will be gags we haven't heard before.
I'm not sure what to make of this next movie, 30 Minutes Or Less is a new action, adventure and comedy movie starring Jessie Eisenberg, another guy who is a quite a few movies right now probably due to his portrayal of Mark Zuckerberg in the movie The Social Network.
Starring: Jessie Eisenberg, Danny Mcbride, Aziz Ansari and Nick Swardson
Eisenberg plays Nick, a pizza delivery guy who is kidnapped by two fledgling criminals. The said criminals strap a bomb to his chest and tell him that he must rob a bank for them, catch is he only has a set time, mere hours to complete the task or else.
I really don't know to much more about the movie, and don't know what to make of the different bit and pieces I have seen on it, it's clearly more of a comedy movie than anything else, it has a very bright and colourful IMDB home page so maybe it will be worth a look. For me though it will probably be better than SJP's latest offering but the two movies mentioned above would be on my list before this one.
Last one to mention this week, I Don't Know How She Does It starring Sarah Jessica Parker. I don't have the trailer here for you but you can jump over to IMDB and check that out, in what is more than likely a chick flick as they say the movie follows Kate Reddy a high flying finance executive who is the breadwinner for her husband and two kids. I don't mind SJP, and will even admit that I like Sex and The City (the TV show and 1st movie), but The Family Stone (crap), Failure To Launch (crap) and Did You Hear About The Morgans? Nope me neither!
Remember I will try and get round to seeing these movies and as I do they will be reviewed. Be sure to subscribe to the RSS feed, follow me on Twitter or "Like" the site on Facebook to ensure you don't miss out on the latest.

Midweek MixTape: NERO, RED HOT CHILLI PEPPERS, THE SATURDAYS and EXAMPLE
Thursday, 15 September 2011
What am I going to do today? There really isn't to much happening in the world of music this week, especially new music all my usual haunts are showing nothing new meaning I have had to work harder, don't these guys know I have an actual job away from this blogging carry on? Fancy releasing no new music! Any how that's enough of my ranting let's get on and see what I've found for you this week new and old (possibly).
Dubstep has never been my favourite type of music but back in my DJ days I was pretty well known for house music. First song I will mention this week is English dubstep group or duo Nero and their new song Promises. The song mixes both genres of music really well and think this may well be a hit in bars and clubs in England and across Europe.
Red Hot Chilli Peppers for you next, I have to be totally honest here. If these guys had not been on Jonathan Ross last Saturday then I would not have known they even had a new song out, I just don't get them and in my opinion they ain't that good, so why put them here this week? Well there new song was good enough for me to watch live last Saturday night and although the general rhythm of it sounds the same as the rest of their music I think it's actually ok. Take a look at the video for The Adventures Of Rain Dance Maggie and let me know what you think.
To The Saturdays now and Frankie has said she is in love with her new boyfriend Wayne Bridge (footballer), suppose you should keep her away from John Terry then Wayne, he likes your birds, right? I'm not here to talk about that obviously, they have a new song out called All Fired Up. It's a very up-beat dance tune, as was their previous offering which granted them a place on the soundtrack of Geordie Shore Magaluf Madness, take a look at the video below!
Last one to mention this week, it's sort of crept in at the last minute when I got to work, yes actual work where I tend to do more of this than actual work, never mind don't tell my boss! Example or Elliott as he is known in real life is back with his third single from his album Playing In The Shadows, Natural Disaster features Dutch DJ Laidback Luke who has collaborated with Swedish House Mafia in the past to produce massive club hits, the latest offering is posted below.

Trailer: PERSON OF INTEREST Starts on CBS September 22nd, 9pm
Wednesday, 14 September 2011
This is a show that attracted my attention a good few months ago now, for some reason or other I just never got round to writing about it. The thing that first drew me was the fact that it’s produced by J.J. Abrams and his team who made hit TV show Lost, second to that it also stars one of Lost’s most mysterious Characters Ben Linus.
The show is set in the present day and follows Mr. Finch (Michael Emerson/Lost) a mysterious billionaire who has developed software that can predict the names of people who are going to be involved in violent crime in the future. Like any computer program it has it’s glitch's and it cannot distinguish weather the person will be the suspect, victim or witness it also cannot predict where the crime will happen. John Reese (Jim Caviezel/Deja Vu) is a former CIA agent who is presumed dead, he is hired by Mr Finch to help stop the crimes taking place. Check out the trailer below and let me know what you think.
Looking at the trailer I think the show looks even better again, you can’t help but draw comparisons from Minority Report starring Tom Cruise although there I think the technology may have been more advanced in knowing exact details but we’ll see.
As well as the actors mentioned above the show also stars Taraji P. Henson (The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button / Hustle & Flow) and Kevin Chapman(Mystic River / Unstoppable), according to network CBS the show received the highest test ratings of any show in the last 15 years, so it should be really worth watching.

Movie Review Time: MENACE II SOCIETY (1993) Starring Tyrin Turner
Tuesday, 13 September 2011
First off I know this movie was released in 1993 making it almost 20 years old now, that’s quite hard to believe right? This was the second movie I watched this night and funnily enough it was the second movie where Samuel L Jackson got killed, that doesn’t happen to often does it? I’ll give you the circumstances were slightly different he got shot here due to drug differences and in the movie before he got eaten by a Shark.
Starring: Tyrin Turner, Larenz Tate, Jada Pinkett-Smith and Samuel L Jackson
The Plot
Caine Lawson (Turner) is a young street hustler who has grown up watching his father Tat (Jackson ) deal drugs and his mother addicted to them. He was never far from violence and even witnessed his father kill someone over a debt. Lawson ends up living with his grandparents but can’t help but be drawn into the way of street life along with his best friend O-Dog (Tate). Lawson decides it’s time to get out the ghetto and move to Atlanta with his girlfriend Ronnie (Pinkett-Smith) but is he to late?
The Verdict
Dark, gritty, violent, alarming and enjoyable this movie really showcases it’s title. Menace II Society is exactly what it says and the young street hustlers could not be more menacing. Straight from the off when the Asian shop keeper and his wife get shot up by O-Dog, it’s not so much the shooting that gets you, it’s the pure unnerving attitude shown towards it by O-Dog. No emotion and the shops CCTV is used by him as a trophy to show to his friends how much of a man he is for the rest of the movie.
Like I said above, this movie came out in 1993 and I seen it probably mid nineties. At school at the time that was probably the cool thing to do watch this or Boyz In The Hood. I didn't really remember to much about it from then other than it was more violent than Boyz In The Hood and that's why I decided to watch it again. I'm pleased I did, as you soon learn is not just about guns and violence it's simply a way of life for some of these youngsters who are shown only one direction by their parents.
O-Dog kills quite a few people during this movie and most of the time it's over nothing more than them showing him no respect, Larenz Tate plays this part superbly adding a little humour to the most loose cannon of characters. The scene in the alley where the guy is trying to trade off a cheeseburger for some drugs makes you laugh he also offers up something else causing O-Dog to shoot him before picking up the bag and saying "anyone for cheeseburgers".
As far as "Hood" movies go this is surely one of the best, not knowing what the situation is like this certainly brings it home to you. Menace II Society will probably be granted as one of the best movies ever made and it's thoroughly worthy of it's title.
Would I watch it again?
I think I may have answered that one already, although catching it on TV these days is a rarity.
Rating: MMMMM

Review: X FACTOR 2011 Auditions - Episode 5
Monday, 12 September 2011
So onto round five of this years X Factor auditions and as promised I'm back to give you the low down on the show which saw the X Factor train roll into both Liverpool and Birmingham. I mentioned that I may stop reviewing this as views where simply not worth it but Sundays post has done quite well so let's just wait and see how this one goes, it has a whole week to build so maybe it will be better.
I didn't watch the show with the same enthusiasm as I usually would on Sunday night I think I was X Factor'd out and like I said in Episode 4's post I hope it's not going to be on TV every night like Britain's Got Talent was, doesn't Simon Cowell have enough shows on TV right now?
First one to mention from the night is Graham Bennett, a guy who wants to be a pop star following his success at the local Karaoke club. Apparently women storm him and surround him dancing when he covers Shaggy's hit record It Wasn't Me. I new from the intro this guy was going to be bad, standing in the changing room's flexing his muscles in the mirror whilst pretending to hold the microphone and sing. He done Ricky Martin She Bangs, or at least that's what he said he was doing. Needless to say Graham isn't going to boot camp.
Marcus Colin's turned up to the audition with his mother and even some of his hairdressing clients came along for the ride. Wanting to give his mother a better life he's here for you now signed, sealed and delivered He's yours with a cover version of the hit song from Stevie Wonder. As always I dont have room for all of the video's here so be sure to go check out Marcus at ITV or YOUTUBE
Nerves where a big thing on the night for the contestants and none were more nervous than soldier Jonjo, fresh from fighting in Afghanistan he has been pushed by his fellow colleagues to try out for the X Factor after he won a singing competition at work, he was pretty good, I think the nerves got the better of him on the night. He did get four yeses but I don't think he will go any further than boot camp.
As always I keep the best until last and I think on Sunday night we may well have seen another potential winner of the show. Amelia Lily is only 16 years old, that's right 16. She looks at least 20. With a cover of Dusty Springfield's Take Another Little Piece Of My Heart, Amelia blew the judges away and will definitely be a contender to win the show this year.

Review: X FACTOR 2011 Auditions - Episode 4
Sunday, 11 September 2011
I'm really starting to struggle with the X Factor this year, not the show but the reviewing of every episode. The views on previous postings have had are minuscule to say the least and generate no discussion among the comments. Blogging in general seems to be pretty worthless at the moment, my traffic has been halved for reasons unknown and I can not remember the last time anyone commented on something I have posted, this site will still be going (.COM) hopefully over the next week, here's hoping that viewing and commenting will change.
The X Factor auditions rolled into Manchester this week, a place where Take That front man Gary Barlow thought they may well find this years winner, unfortunately things didn't go exactly to plan with only a couple of good acts presenting themselves on stage.
First up it's Andy who is 17 years old and from Ripley in Derbyshire, hands up now y'all to the left, to the left and keep going please Andy. This guy is a beauty student (stop laughing) when he is not singing. Ok you can laugh now he has started to sing, honestly who tells these kids that it's a good idea to go on TV with no talent.
Now to a girl you may remember from last year, Chrissie who got through to boot camp last time and she has now rolled up with her three good friends from Newcastle. They call themselves Twisted and they want to be as big as Destiny's Child! Not going to happen for them but at least Kelly Rowland saw enough potential in the voice of Chrissie to go backstage and invite her back to audition as a solo artist.
I can't get a video from YouTube for this as all the embedding has been disabled, here are a couple of links one to ITV for my UK viewers and the other to YouTube for my international readers, go check out the video's and come back when your done! Pretty please.
Kendro, Kendro. That is something I don't think you will hear to many people shouting from the roof tops, I really think these two best friends only turned up hoping to impress judge Louis Walsh and maybe become the next Jedward and star in celebrity Big Brother because let's face it it they can't sing, and to be honest the dancing really wasn't much better.
Sami Brooks for you now, a bar maid who has always wanted to be a singer. She was singing Whitney Houston's One Moment In Time, I was worrying at this point. I think you always do when people say they are going to sing Whitney, it generally doesn't work out unless there trying to impersonate her on crack. Luckily that was not the case in this audition and Sami blew the judges away winning four straight yeses and sailing through to the next round.
I thought I would save the best act of the night until last. I watched the video for this on YouTube this morning, I thought this guys name was Mercel, don't ask why! Maybe I misheard. His real name is Lascel Woods a 20 year old guy who came along to the auditions with his mother. Great voice and definitely one to watch this year, I think this guy will go all the way to the final.
The X Factor is on here again tonight, I don't know why but I'm sure all will be revealed at 8.15pm tonight on ITV 1, I hope they are not going to go into overkill like they did with Britain's Got Talent. I got really board with that last time and I'm hoping it doesn't happen with the X Factor. I will probably review tonight's show to and then see how it goes from there.

Movies Music & Television, Weekly News Roundup, ARNIE AND SHEEN BACK AT THE MOVIES
Winning is the catchphrase we all have heard from Charlie Sheen lately, along with various other rants including tiger blood. It seems that Sheen may well be right though, not long after we heard the news of his new TV show Anger Management we are now hearing reports that Sheen will be back on the big screen with his first major Hollywood role since 2004's The Big Bounce.
Slashfilm reported that Sheen had been boasting that he had a script from Francis Ford Coppola in hand, this however was just after his sacking from hit TV show Two And A Half Men. He wasn't lying the movie has now been confirmed and is named A Glimpse Inside The Mind Of Charlie Swan III, that's a pretty long movie title right?
Sheen won't have to movie to far from his Charlie Harper character to play the role, which apparently follows the life of a successful graphic designer who's fame, money and charm have made him irresistible to women. His girlfriend breaks up with him and he goes on a downward spiral. Don't know about you but I think it sounds like Two And A Half Men at the movies.
The Expendables II is a movie which has been talked about almost constantly since the big cinematic hit of the first installment. In "The Expendables" Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis made cameo appearances. Now it has been confirmed that both have signed up for the second movie in what are to be substantial roles. As well as that Sylvester Stallone has handed over the directional duties and the three biggest 80's action stars will be back together on the big screen.
Not a problem for Stallone he has never really been to far away from the big screen, although at 66 he does have his work cut out to prove he can still mix it with young guns like Jason Statham and Jet Li. Bruce Willis is the youngest of the three at 56, ten years Stallone's junior. His fitness and action hero ability should come up to scratch with a role lined up in the new G.I. Joe movie, the sequel to R.E.D scheduled and Die Hard five penciled in, it's a wonder he can fit The Expendables II into his busy schedule.
Now comes Arnie a year younger than Stallone he has spent the best part of the last couple of years behind a desk, doing what I heard was not that good of a job being the Governor of California. Second to that he has had pretty big up-heival in his private life recently with kids and mistresses literally coming out the woodwork. Schwarzenegger has not been in a feature film other than cameo's since Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines which was released back in 2003. No doubt he can pull off some pretty slick suits but he has some work to do in the Gym before he starts flexing alongside Willis and Stallone.
*Be sure to check back later when I'll be back with a review of last nights X Factor auditions, and don't forget we are going (.com) soon, hopefully in the next week.*

THE KILLING Season 1 Episode 11 - Missing
Saturday, 10 September 2011
I have been making a bit of a thing in the last couple of weeks about American TV shows picking straight up where they left off the week before. The Killing didn't quite do that this week Detective Linden was on her way to the casino via ferry last week, in this episode she was there already pressing the owner of the native American casino. The Eagle casino is where the story goes it seems, the keyring found in Rosie Larsen's property has there symbol on it, all they need to do now is prove she was there on the night.
Has Detective Holder got a family that we don't know to much about? Or does he have more skeletons in the closet? I was thinking briefly last night that was the case but, nope it's his sister who brought him up he remains quite involved with her and her two children. I wasn't really sure about the character of Holder but he is really starting to come out of his shell in the last couple of weeks.
Fifteen minutes into the show and it's more of the backing story, delivering us a little more insight into the characters of both Linden and Holder, they are both starting to learn more of each other and their lives away from the investigation, it's quite refreshing really this is how a good TV show should be made letting us know about the characters, I think I know how they may stretch to a second series now. All the best TV shows have followed this format, Lost and Prison Break included.
The two characters of Linden and Holder are really starting to bounce off each other well even giving us a little joke and a new angle for the show to work on, again a good thing, eleven episodes in and up to now this has not been a show that provides you with to many laughs, I'm really hoping the next forty five minutes will be as good as this, I'm enjoying the story away from the main plot probably helped by the acting of both Mireille Enos and Joel Kinnaman.
We are really starting to learn a lot of the personal lives this week and finally we hear that alcohol is not Holder's problem, he was actually addicted to Crystal Meth. Something I picked up on the night was the previous case worked by Linden, this is purely a guess but she solved a case where the kid ended up in care and no one would adopt him. Just a guess but do you think Holder was the kid she was referring to? He did give her a funny look when they discussed it.
Thirty minutes into the show now and no politics this week, I'm lovin it. Up to now the show has been pretty big on that part of the story line and again it's refreshing to see a move away from that. The investigation this week is not even on Rosie Larsen, it's about Linden's wayward son who has bunked off school for the last three days and gone missing, she doesn't know why or where he is.
The end of the episode leaves you dripping for more, as things really just start to get going in the last quarter. Holder is sitting in the car with a keyring from the casino, is that his? Is it Rosie Larsen's? If it is hers why does he have it? I was starting to think the episode was not going to feature the Rosie Larsen case at all this week other than the intro but, right at the end Holder gets the CCTV back from the casino's ATM machines showing that Rosie Larsen was there on the night. That will help push through the warrant they need to search the place next week.
Just as any good TV show would The Killing leaves you wanting more and more every week, next Thursday September 15th the show finishes with a two part finale, I don't know about you but I can't wait.
NEW UK CINEMA RELEASES: September 9th 2011
Friday, 9 September 2011
It's a good week in the cinemas with four very good movies out on release, actually make that three very good movies and one which plenty of critics have raved about but looks to me like it would be more at home on the SyFy channel. The movies I will mention this week all have a theme in that they remind me of other movies or relate to a sport, so this should be fun.
First up is the weeks top movie COUMBIANA which reminds me of Domino starring Keira Knightly, not because the story lines are similar just the vigilante women who are involved. The popularity of this movie has gone through the roof in the last week and it has wined up at number 1 on IMDB before it is even released here in the UK.
Starring: Zoe Saldana, Jordi Molla, Michael Vartan and Lennie James
COLUMBIANA follows the story of Cataleya, a woman who as a child witnessed the murder of her parents in Bogota, Columbia. Cataleya grows up to be a stone cold assassin working for her uncle as a day job, then turns vigilante at night hoping that one day she will get to her number one target, the mobster who is responsible for her parents' death.
It's a Luc Besson movie, as were all of the Transporter movies which starred Jason Statham. If nothing else this movie will be two hours of action packed fun to fill in what looks like a wet weekend here in England.
"Let's play Tennis", that seems to be the tag line for this next film FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS, who are we to judge if you are lucky enough to have friends that will grant you those sorts of favours, and secondly you are lucky enough to have friends that look like Mila Kunis then go for it would my advice.
Starring: Justin Timberlake, Mila Kunis, Patricia Clarkson and Jenna Elfman
Both Dylan and Jamie work in the business of Hollywood, they are good friends who get together one night and drunkenly discuss the cliches of Hollywood romances. The two end up in bed and agree to be FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS, they soon learn though that adding that element into their relationship does not come without it's complications.
This seems to be the type of movie I will get round to watching, maybe not at the cinema but at home on DVD. I would imagine it's pretty easy going and should be a movie that both me and the lady friend can agree on.
Remember up top when I told you one movie this week looks in the TV trailers like it should be on the SyFy channel, well that is here for you now TROLLHUNTER has been getting rave reviews from the critics billing it as the best monster movie since Jurassic Park. From the trailers I have seen it looks like it would be more at home on TV.
Starring: Otto Jespersen, Glenn Erland Tosterud and Johanna Mork
This is a Norwegian film which follows a group of students who are investigating a spate of mysterious bear killings. The students are soon to learn that something far more dangerous is going on, during their travels they start to follow a mysterious hunter and learn that his prey is actually Trolls.
Also known as O CACADOR DE TROLLS this is a movie I don't think I will be going to see, I can't help but let it remind me of a made for TV movie or be similar to Blair Witch or Cloverfield.
One more movie to mention for you now, as there is not that much room here I have provided you with a link to IMDB, there you can check out the trailer for A LONELY PLACE TO DIE. This movie follows five mountaineers who are hiking and climbing in the Scottish Highlands where they discover a small Serbian girl buried in a chamber.

I'm Just A Pimp, Who Like's To Pimp His Blog
Thursday, 8 September 2011
Now that got your attention didn't it? I'm just a pimp, not in that sense. I have been spreading my brand across the tinterweb. What? I know it's hard to beileive I am usually so busy writing stuff for this site that I don't have time to do work elsewhere.
Over here at Movies Music & Television I offer the chance to guest post on the blog, you can follow the link I have just provided or you can visit the contact section, remember though it has to be something to do with one of the subjects above.
So who have I been pimping myself out to? My good blogging friend Glen at 1 Man, 365 movies that's who. Glen has got a big mission on his hands he has promised to watch and review 365 movies this year, he is currently up to movie number 57 of that challenge and so far I I have read and commented on around 20 movies I think, ok maybe not that many but I made a commitment to Glen a while a go that I would comment on every one of his posts.
Wht did Glen get from me? A movie review of course, as that is what his blog is about and I had some going spare. I have taken lately, don't ask why! To watching made for TV movies on the SyFy channel. I know most of them are bad, in fact most of them are really bad. They bill them as horror movies when truth be told they are badly edited comedy movies which at times make you laugh so hard you think you are watching The Hangover, That may not be such a good example as none of the movies on this station are in the same league as that but you get my drift.
I got to watching SyFy the other night whilst doing some channel hopping, there I saw the movie The Human Centipede was on, a movie I had never even heard of until I was in Lidl getting myself some beer (you can read the full story at the link). I won't tell you to much about the movie, go visit Glen. What I will say is that SyFy should open up a new genre of movies and call it sick, The Human Centipede would be at home there. It's a good job that England had just beat Wales 1 - 0 at Wembley on the night I watched the movie, why? Well I had a couple of beers, six actually so I was already a couple of sheets to the wind, maybe that's why I left it on so long.
Remember get over to 1 Man, 365 Movies read the review and leave your comments, be sure to follow this blog and Glen's in some way. You can subscribe to the RSS feeds, follow on Facebook, follow on Twitter, follow on Google and you can even follow both blogs through Networked Blogs, that's a Facebook application, enjoy the posting.
Remember in the next couple of weeks this site may look a little different, we're going (.COM), and I'm hoping you will all come and join me.

Midweek MixTape: Matt Cardle, Leona Lewis, Snow Patrol, Delilah and Chaka Khan
It's that time of the week again when I publish my findings of new music from the last week on the Internet, well actually its only been the last 10 minutes this week, I haven't had time to do much scouring. You can probably expect a short post this week.
DON'T FORGET MOVIES MUSIC & TELEVISION IS GOING (.COM) SOON, IF YOU FOLLOW ALREADY YOU DON'T NEED TO DO ANYTHING YOUR FEED WILL BE RE-DIRECTED AUTOMATICALLY.
Fist up this week, It seems only fitting that Mr Cowell schedule the release of Matt Cardle's 2nd single just as the X Factor train has started rolling again, he won last years show remember and held the Christmas number 1 slot, no doubt his debut album will be due out around December time this year, securing it's number 1 slot in the charts. The first single to be taken from the album Run For Your Life is due for release in October and was written by X Factor judge Gary Barlow.
It must be X Factor week or something. The most successful X Factor winner ever Leona Lewis is also back with her third album Glassheart, on the album she has kept up her heavy weight name and collaborated with people like Ne-Yo and Emeli Sande, take a look at the video of the new single Collide below and let me know what you think.
2004 was when they released their debut single Run which was covered by Leona Lewis on Radio 1's live lounge tour, In 2006 they were back with their biggest hit Chasing Cars since then I have not really heard to much about them. Now though Snow Patrol are back with a new album and the first single to be taken from it is Called Out In The Dark, I haven't quite made my mind up on the song yet. I like the chorus I just hope the rest grows on me, take a look and let me know.
Ok one more song to mention now but I'm going to do it with a bit f a twist. Delilah is the lady who performed the vocals for the Chase and Status record Time, she is back with her first solo single Go, you can go view that on YouTube. The song sample the 1983 Chaka Khan hit Ain't Nobody which if I'm honest I much prefer so for that reason you can check out the video of it below or alternatively head off to YouTube via the link to hear Delilah.

Really late with this posting this week, don't ask me what's happening at the minute I just always seem to have something else to do, anyway enough of me complaining on with the review. It was another tense start this week with the lifeless Bennett Ahmed lying unconscious on the dirt track where he was left by Stan and Belko. He manages to make it to hospital but is in a critical condition.
Riddled with the guilt of beating up an innocent man Stan hands himself into police and at court he goes against the advice of his solicitor and pleads guilty to attempted murder, In the mean time detective Linden meets up with the cabbie who picked Rosie up from the party on the night, the cabbie's records confirm that Rosie was taken home. A couple of things I need to mention there first, there is now a new suspect (I'll get to that in a minute) second did anyone notice Linden had her phone on in court? I don't know about the states but here in England you would probably be held in contempt of court for doing that.
The CCTV from the taxi just happened to be pointing out of the back window the night Rosie was dropped off at home, it shows that their was a light on when she arrived meaning that someone was already inside, but who? My guess is that Mitch Larsen's sister still has something to do with this. The police seem to be taking another angle though, turns out Stan's partner Belko is a bit of a weirdo and Stan does not allow him into the house when no one else is home, Belko usually has other plans. Did he kill Rosie Larsen?
I haven't talked much about the political side of this show and there is a reason for that, It does not interest me in the slightest. I may have to start paying more attention to it now though as this week Council man Richmond was informed that he has met Rosie Larsen before, something he has denied all along, turns out she was into politics (if I remember rightly). There is a photo of them speaking, so does he know more than we do? Did he kill Rosie Larsen?
Belko the weirdo I mentioned before is looking like the lead suspect right now, this guy is really strange nothing like the calm composed guy we have seen every week until now. Stan Larsen's removal business is ran from the workshop under his house Belko being Stan's most trusted employee has keys to the business granting him access to the house, case solved it was Belko, wrong I won't go into details but after his police interview I really don't think it was him he just likes to sit
and look.
We also find out that Rosie was on the phone to Adela on the night, who or what is Adela? If it is a person are they involved? Adela looks like it is involved but it's not a person it's a boat, well ferry which seems to connect the main land to an island where there is a casino, the casino shares the same logo as the keyring that was found on Rosie at the time. In the mean time Micth Larsen learns that all of the Larsen family funds have been taken from the bank, Belko maybe?
Another great episode of The Killing and I'm looking forward to tomorrows episode, I'm sure it'll be tense and gripping as always.
A little heads up to everyone. Movies Music & Television is going (.com), hopefully it will be some time in the next week, don't worry I'll post about it before the switch.
THE KILLING Season 1 Episode 10 - I'll Let You Know When I Get There

Upcoming Movie Trailer: The Rum Diary Starring Johnny Depp
Tuesday, 6 September 2011
There really isn't to much going on TV show wise, not that I have seen anyway so for today you are going to have to be content with some upcoming movvie trailers from the vault. First up today.....
Stop the press, what’s that your telling me? This movie is not made on $100 million budget and it’s not shot in 3D, it’s just a regular old movie which looks good and even stars Johnny Depp. Well I’m sold I think this is one I’m off to see.
Paul Kemp is a freelance journalist who lives out in the Caribbean, he works out there for a local down and out newspaper which is all but finished. It is a challenging time for Paul who is challenged on many levels as he tries to carve out a new niche in the market and earn some money. Paul however finds hinself in the wrong crowd all of whom are in self distruct mode.
The movie stars Johnny Depp as I've mentioned above, it also stars Amber Heard (Drive Angry 3D), Aaron Eckhart (The Dark Knight), Giovanni Ribisi (Gone In 60 Seconds, Avatar) and Amaury Nolasco (Prison Break, Chase). The Rim Diary is due to be released in US cinemas on October 28th and then UK cinemas on November 4th 2011

The Monday Movie Review: Anacondas The Hunt For The Blood Orchid Starring Johnny Messner
Monday, 5 September 2011
I went and did it like I promised, after watching Swamp Shark the lure of a made for TV movie was just to much to handle and I flicked over to the SyFy channel and ended up watching this little gem where the CGI was probably beefed up to the max.
Starring: Johnny Messner, KaDee Strickland, Matthew Marsden and Nicholas Gonzalez
The Plot
It's really pretty simple, Dr Jack Byron (Matthew Marsden) works for a pharmaceutical company who believe they have found a flower which can grant you a longer life. The Blood Orchid, as it's named grows in the Amazon rain forest problem is they only bloom for a couple of months every year and unbeknown to the crew they are surrounded by Anacondas with an appetite for blood.
The Verdict
Anaconda - Ice Cube - Jennifer Lopez = This movie. Don't let that put you off though I thought this movie was great, not the best admittedly but I enjoyed it all the same. Made for TV of course but it's not often these days that you see an actor in a movie where they have genuinely worked hard and stuck at the task at hand to get where they are. I am of course talking about Johnny Messner who plays Bill Johnson in the movie he has worked for years as a jobbing actor whilst holding down a job in a bar, he hasn't worked in the bar for while now though and has even appeared in movies with stars like Bruce Willis
Rotten Tomatoes rate this as a cheesy monster B-Movie, it is I suppose but like I said above you are going to enjoy it. The story is very predictable as you would expect, some guys and cute women get stuck on a boat, one of the guys turns a bit psycho a couple of them get eaten and Johnny Messner ultimately saves the day. I mean what more do you want?
Considering the movie was probably made on less of a budget than it's prequel the snake or snakes looked no faker in this movie than they do in the original and this movie is a million times better than the third Anaconda movie which stars the Hoff.
This movie is what it is and you will either like it or you won't, I'm starting to think movies like this and Swamp Shark are sort of a guilty pleasure. It's one for those nights I can't be bothered to reach for the DVD player as they require no brain power and only the effort of moving my finger to change the TV station.
Would I watch it again?
You kidding me! Of course I would.

X FACTOR Auditions 2011 Episode 3
Tuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu Leeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Sa sa sa sa sa sa, if your English or have ever watched comedy show Shooting Stars then you probably get that, if not then it's my attempt at being funny. It doesn't always work out. Seriously though this could be the Tulisa show, I'll give you Kelly Rowland is hot but Tulisa steals it for me. Ok what are we here for again? That's right a review of Saturday nights X Factor auditions and again this week I have some good ones and some not so good ones to share with you.
First one to mention this week is David Wilder, this guy got through I'll tell you that straight off but I really don't know why. He wants to be a rock star, you can't fault the guys energy but as far as being a rock star goes......Dream on David.
The show is as always open to 16 year olds and above and it seems that the 16 year olds are going to take Mr Cowell up on the offer with loads of them turning up on Saturday Night, including this kid Luke Lucas, try saying that when your drunk! He is 16 if you hadn't already guessed and is another one in the long line of people who wanted to profess their love for N-Dubz star Tulisa, he got a peck on the cheek for his efforts and blew the judges away with Michael Jackson's Who's Loving You granting him 4 well deserved nods through to the next round.
Whilst I'm on the subject of Michael Jackson, I may as well talk about Michael Lewis who turned up on Saturday. He was in the show last year and came dressed up as the king of pop, that didn't do him any favours and he didn't do himself any on Saturday either, let's face it if you can't sing when dressed like MJ then you probably can't sing, take note Mr Lewis. Oh yeah he can't dance either.
Onto a girl group now, well more of a clan actually. Angel, I don't think you can count yourself as credible when you audition with the Willow Smith song Whip My Hair, these girls had real attitude, not good though, it was bad and one of them even fired back when Tulisa criticised them, straight home for these guys then!
I thought I would save what I thought was the best until last, 21 year old Jade Richardson came all the way from Fife, Scotland (Tulisa didn't know that!) to audition in order to turn her life around. Jade rolled up with almost her whole family in toe before blowing the judges away with her version of Adele's Someone Like You.

DEXTER Season 5 Episode 12 - The Big One
Sunday, 4 September 2011
So here we are the finale of season 5 of the best show on TV, apologies for the late posting had a bit of hectic weekend again, long story I won't bore you so let's get on with Dexter. Loved the intro to the show this week a massive high octane reminder of the impressive body count Dexter and Lumen have managed to chalk up throughout the series. Seriously though what am I going to do for the next four weeks on a Friday night until season 6 starts.
Harry was back this week too, I'm really hoping that is going to roll on into season 6 and guess what else? The kids all turned up "SURPRISE", as always though they tend to pick the most inappropriate time to come to the door, don't they know daddy is a hobbyist serial killer? The two older kids, his step children even want to stay with him for the summer, that should be ok he's not due back to serial killing until October they could go back to Florida then.
This episode was all go, full on action straight off. After Lumen being kidnapped by Jordan Chase last week she now finds herself in the back of his I love myself to bits top of the range BMW 7 series. Dexter is getting all stressed and tense and has even offered himself to Jordan if he lets Lumen go.
Dexter has been so busy killing people this season it's finally starting to catch up with him, just as he's waiting on some property details for Eugene Grier (Chase's real name) the call comes into Miami Metro Homicide that Stan Liddy has been found dead, a member of the public saw blood dripping from his van, the van Dexter was supposed to get cleaned up but up to now has not had time. Then Quinn is deleting all of his Liddy contacts from his phone he asks Dexter if he had any guesses as to what happened to Liddy, just tell them Dex you stabbed him in the chest. Looks like Dexter is going to get away with it though and Quinn is the main suspect thanks to letting that blood drip on his shoes.
County records finally called back, now Dexter has the address he ain't going back to the station to run any tests, he's going for Lumen but just as he arrives Jordan manages to get the better of him and he now has them both hostage. Hold up what a shot get in Dexter I knew I had seen him in to many of these situations before, he stabs Jordan in the foot nailing him to floor. Johnny Lee Miller has had some fall since he split with Angelina Jolie and now he finds himself on Dexter's table. I was starting to think this situation may roll on into season 6 but nope straight in the chest as always.
Debra in the mean time gets the location of Jordan Chase's hide out, with her partner Quinn on his way to the slammer she just has to go alone, maybe she will unleash her serial killing dark side and form the threesome thing we talked about in the last couple of weeks, she walks in just as the job has been done, shame she couldn't speak Spanish she may have been there a little earlier she could have joined in.
Whhhhaaaaat, Debra just lets them walk just as you are thinking Dexter's time is up, does she know that her brother is behind that curtain? Or is she just thinking that Jordan Chase deserves it? She is going to be having a chat with Harry come the sixth season I think and maybe handing out a little vigilante justice of her own.
"Slice Of Life" is the name of Dexter's boat, is that supposed to be some kind of joke? Either way I thought it was pretty funny. When Dexter said home I didn't think Lumen would leave I was kind of hoping that they would be an item for season 6, maybe Dexter will be a reformed character in season 6 and will make it his business to get Lumen back, oh one more thing Masuka is surely paying that lady who he had at Harrison's birthday party.
It was a brilliant climax to what has been a brilliant season, it has turned into my favourite show on TV and I can't wait for the next season to come. I will be keeping up with America where the show starts Sunday October 2nd on Showtime at 9pm, if I waited to see it here in England then I would have to wait till next April, that just ain't happening. A short teaser I found for you.
In the mean time I found a great Dexter blog, go check it out for all the latest from the show (dextergr.blogspot.com). See you in four weeks for more Dexter and I'll be back with all the other shows going on right now later in the week!

Upcoming Movie Trailer: Shark Night 3D Starring Sara Paxton
Saturday, 3 September 2011
Hold up, haven’t I seen this movie before? This looks like Swamp Shark only with a slightly bigger budget and a 3D animated shark or sharks as the case may be, awesome! Nothing better than a shark movie right? No seriously this looks exactly like the movie I’ve just mentioned a shark has been released in a swamp, which bastard is responsible for that?
In very similar circumstances a load of teenagers head over to a lake house for the weekend, very quickly they strip to their bathing costumes, perfect we are in paradise. Not to long after the hot shot of the group stumbles out the lake minus his arms in what the girls presume is a freak wake boarding accident (how fast was the boat going?). Deciding to take their friend to the other side of the lake in the only available very small speed boat they learn the lake has been infested with flesh eating sharks, and oh yeah it's in 3D.
The movie stars Sara Paxton (Superhero Movie, The Last House On The Left), Dustin Milligan (Slither, The Butterfly Effect 2), Chris Carmack (The Butterfly Effect 3, Into The Blue 2) and Katherine Mcphee (American Idol) and is due in UK cinemas on September 30th 2011.

New Cinema Releases September 2nd 2011
Friday, 2 September 2011
Turns out the movie I mentioned last week The Inbetweeners is number 1 at the UK box office, not seen it myself yet but have heard it’s very funny so I may well take a trip down to the cinema with the lady friend this weekend, we’ll see! As always on a Friday I’m back to give you the low down on what’s new at the cinema this weekend and is worth your time and effort going to see.
First up this week is a movie which I thought had been released a couple of months back in July, either I got it wrong or maybe I had been drinking when I posted about it, who knows? Apollo 18 is this week’s top release or is at least the one which interests me the most, I loved Apollo 13 but this new one is nothing like it.
Starring: Warren Christie and Lloyd Owen
The movie was made on a mere $5 million budget a big shout away from many Hollywood movies these days, it decades footage that was recovered from NASA’s abandoned Apollo 18 mission where two American astronauts where sent on a secret space exploration. The tag line of the movie is “There’s a reason we’ve never gone back to the moon” and the film is supposed to reveal that reason.
I really think this movie is worth a couple of hours of anyone’s time this weekend, I read a review on the movie and the reviewer put it in the top 10 movies of all time which I’m sure you would agree is quite a statement.
Next up this week is a movie remake of the 1985 original Fright Night, having see the title and not liking horror films I had already decided I was giving this a wide birth, I never seen the original so can’t say to much but last night I saw the trailer for the new version and realised it’s actually a comedy movie.
Starring: Anton Yelchin, Colin Farrell, Toni Collette and David Tennant
A remake like I said above, where teenager Charley Brewster (Yelchin) comes to the conclusion that his next door neighbour is a vampire and responsible for a string of deaths. Charley attempts to tell everyone he knows but they don’t believe him, so instead he opts to hire a guy named Peter Vincent (Tennant), a Las Vegas magician and self proclaimed Vampire Hunter.
I’m not going to stand and say that I will go see this movie but I have to be honest when it comes to TV or maybe even DVD I will probably get round to it.
Last one to mention this week is a movie I have been hearing a lot about in the last couple of weeks. British Film Kill List is a Horror / Thriller genre movie with a slight element of Blair Witch (apparently), the trailer I have seen (below) does not remind me of that at all.
Starring: Neil Maskell, MyAnna Burning and Harry Simpson
The movie sees a British soldier return home from Kiev, in doing so he joins an old friend and they work together as contract killers. It’s not long before the soldiers disturbed past starts to catch up and his behaviour becomes more and more erratic as employers continually raise the stakes.
I would like to think that I will get round to seeing this movie, maybe not at the cinema but on DVD, everything I have read about it puts it in a good light with five star ratings.

Midweek MixTape Ft: Metallica, Noel Gallagher, Phil Collins
Thursday, 1 September 2011
This is going to be a good mixtape this week I can feel it, since there is not really any new music released this week that is worth mentioning I’m going to concentrate on live performances from some of my favourite bands. Some of the performances are from Germany ’s famous Rock AM Ring, others here in London , let’s see how this week goes and maybe we could do this one again. Make sure you leave your feedback in the comments at the bottom.
First off I’ll start with that famous stadium I’ve just mentioned. Germany’s Rock AM Ring plays host to some of the worlds biggest bands and back in 2008 it’s stage was graced with the presence of American metal band Metallica, don’t worry I’m not going to get all mosh pit on you. For this post I’ve gone for a little more mellow, check out the video below of one of their biggest hits Nothing Else Matters.
You may remember a couple of weeks back on the mixtape, I mentioned Noel Gallagher and his new solo venture with his band the High Flying Birds, from that I have managed to pluck an amazing live performance from Noel when he first went solo performing his set Sitting Here In Silence at London’s Union Chapel, he performed the song Half The World Away.
Next up this week a one from Phil Collins (stop laughing), his farewell tour is a one that seemed to go on forever and is still a big hit to this day. I’m not a massive fan of his music but his performance of In The Air Tonight live in Paris back in 2006, well just watch it for yourself and let me know in the comments.
Want to hear some more live music? Go here: AC/DC Live in Argentina.
