New DEXTER Season 7 Trailer

Sunday, 19 August 2012

It's been a while since Showtime released the Dexter season 7 two minute sneak peek and now there back with this latest Dexter trailer which is by far and away the most revealing one we have seen. Check it below.

Yeah, by far the best trailer so far and are we finally going to see a different side to our favourite Miami based serial killer? It seems like Dexter is going to be living on the edge during this penultimate season and his character is going to go slightly psychotic compared to the usually cool and collected man we would usually see. The big question we had last time round was weather or not Deb would turn the man she loves into the police, it seems she won't and although we could have guessed that it still seems like its going to be a real battle for Dexter to convince her that he is just the man she has known all these years. Debra is going to be looking into the Bay Harbour Butcher files and she discovers a link, the way Dexter had Travis Marshall's body wrapped up is exactly the way The Butcher done it, the pieces are all finally falling into place for Debra as promised. Asides from that Laguerta discovers one of Dexter's blood slides at the crime scene which Dexter has now burnt out, Laguerta "who uses blood slides?" Masuka, "the only person who used blood slides was the Bay Harbour Butcher". So, not only will Debra be looking at the Butcher case but it seems like maybe the whole of Miami Metro will returning to one it's most famous cases. That would cause Masuka to become involved and in the trailer it looks like Dexter kills him, or is it just one of those sequences which Dexter runs through his head? Just like back in season 2 when he contemplated telling Debra that he was the Bay Harbour Butcher. Away from Masuka there is the new Miami Metro intern, the guy who I warned would be someone for Dexter to worry about after he posted a frozen had to Dexter from the case of The Ice Truck Killer. In the trailer Louis says he wants to see Dexter lying in his own piss, why? What does he know about Dexter? And more importantly will Dexter kill him? Here's hoping.

I really can't wait for season 7 of Dexter to start, not long now September 30th at 9pm on Showtime, be there or be square, as they say.

New DEXTER Season 7 TV Spot Plus Some Story Line

Tuesday, 31 July 2012

The hype surrounding Dexter's upcoming seventh season is still building and thanks to Showtime I have another couple of trailers as well as a new photo taken from the season 7 premiere "Are You...?" (that's it on the left). The Comic Con badge on the right side bar has now disappeared, but has been replaced by a picture of just how Dexter wants to be seen by the public. Don't forget these trailers are the latest, if you click on that Dexter picture then you are taken to all the Dexter trailers available so far, as well as the two minute sneak peak provided courtesy of Comic Con.

Now to some story line provided courtesy of a press release, we discussed in previous posts weather Debra would grass her brother to her colleagues at Miami Metro, we decided that wouldn't be the case and that can be seen in one of the promos below as Dexter burns Travis' body in front of his sister. What happens from there? Well, Debra would seem to be off doing her job whilst allowing her brother to continue on with the life he has become so used to, killing killers. In season 7 Dexter sees a new challenge in a brutal Ukrainian mobster played by Ray Stevenson. On his journey Dexter meets Hannah McKay (Yvonne Strahovski)an independent woman who has a past that she is struggling to put behind her, Hannah starts to work with Miami Metro helping them solve old cases, Dexter starts to work with her and realises that maybe Hannah is not all she seems.

Quite a few of the episode names have been released so I will list them here for you now, nothing much to talk about but 7.12 has an interesting title. Remember the season 7 premiere airs on Showtime, September 30th 2012.

7.01 - "Are You...?"

7.02 - "The Shadow Knows"

7.03 - "Buck The System"

7.04 - "Run"

7.05 - "Swim Deep"

7.06 - "Do The Wrong Thing"

7.07 - Chemistry"

7.08 - "?"

7.09 - "?"

7.10 - "?"

7.11 - "?"

7.12 - "Lethal Injection"

Sneak Peek: The First 2 Minutes of DEXTER Season 7 Here NOW - Comic Con 2012

Friday, 13 July 2012

The hype surrounding Dexter's seventh season has been building for a while now, I mean we even added to it here yesterday when I posted all of the trailers avaliable so far and teased on the fact that Comic Con 2012 would be bringing us the first two minutes of the season 7 premiere named "Are You...?". Yes Debra he is, would be the answer to that question, your brother is in fact the biggest and most ruthless serial killer America has ever seen, and lets face it they've had plenty. Of course non so likeable as Dexter, anyway I'm prattling on check out the video and we'll talk some more afterwards.

Oh man that doesn't half leave you with bated breath, is it not September 30th yet? Why can't they just air the series now, seriously? I think fans who's interest may have wondered off a little during Dexter's admittedly poorer sixth season will all be tuning back in as this looks like it's going to be awesome. So what can we expect?

Well, season 7 picks up exactly where the sixth left off with Dexter plunging a knife into the chest of Travis Marshall (Colin Hanks), the Doomsday Killer just as his adoptive sister Debra walks into the room. Her immediate reaction is that of every cop who has just witnessed a murder, she reaches straight for her gun and takes aim at the man she loves so dearly. Dexter's immediate reaction to his sister is that of every killer, he lies his ass off, a skill which he has honed pretty well during six seasons of playing Dexter Morgan. Debra then asks why the body is wrapped in plastic and Dexter gives a reasonable forensic analyst excuse. It really doesn't give to much away and it is very much a teaser from producer Scott Buck as to what kind of set up we can expect. I love the way the clip ends;

Dexter - "Who are you calling?"
Debra - "The station, I have to get everyone down here"
Dexter - "No"

And that's it, the clip ends. Ok some comments please, just how much fun was that two minute clip? And are you looking forward to the seventh season of Dexter?

Oh Shit!

More DEXTER Season 7 Promo Videos - My Dark Passanger Revealed

Thursday, 12 July 2012

I don't think there is any other TV show on the plant right now that is experiencing quite the hype and attention than Dexter's upcoming seventh season. Today I don't have a lot to talk about but what I do have are a couple of Dexter season 7 previews for you to check out, like the last one I put out the other week they really don't give to much away but they do give me a post to put out and it keeps the excitement building for September 30th when the season 7 opener "Are You...?" airs on Showtime to an undoubted massive audience. Of course the real excitement will come later today when a two minute sneak peek of the season 7 premiere will air at this years Comic Con, you may have noticed that I have put a Dexter Comic Con badge over on the right sidebar, the reason? All you need to do is click that and you will be directed to all the Dexter season 7 sneak peeks that are available on Movies Music & Television, there are two up to now and tomorrow the Comic Con footage will be available on YouTube so I will be updating that for you then. Now lets see some footage of Dexter's Dark Passenger being revealed.

Two video's for you there, both the same thing really just one has Debra (Jennifer Carpenter) in bed, whilst the other see's Dexter (Michael C. Hall) contemplating his thoughts.

Now for a very fast promo which was released that went over so quick it was to difficult to make anything of, luckily for us some clever geek on YouTube has slowed it down, check it out.

Now to a video I caught thanks to DexterDaily.com, it's an animated video which, again doesn't show much. I think this is some sort of online series or something like that, if you know then please inform me, but check it out it's pretty cool.

I'm not sure I'll be able to resist watching the two minute clip for the season 7 premiere, in fact I tell you now I won't be able to so you can be sure I'll let you know my thought's tomorrow. In the mean time you may know that I'm currently making my way through Dexter's second season and reviewing every epiosde for you, the latest episode "The Dark Defender" is available now, be sure to check it out and I'll be back tomorrow.

TV Preview: DEXTER Season 7 Trailer and Gossip, The Truth Is Out

Wednesday, 27 June 2012

The final two seasons of cable TV's biggest show Dexter were announced following the wrap of the disappointing sixth season, since that tremendous season finale audiences have been awaiting a little sneak peek of just what we can expect when Dexter's seventh season starts on Showtime September 30th. Go back and check out my review or just cast your mind back to those final scenes in "This is the Way the World Ends" when Debra walked in just as her serial Killer half brother Dexter Morgan sunk a knife into the chest of Travis (Colin Hanks), there is simply no other way the seventh season could start than with that scene being picked up exactly where it left off. What we do know for definite now is something that has always been suspected, well known but never said. Debra Morgan is in love with her brother and the big question on everyone's lips is will that love force her hand into covering up her brothers murderous ways or will she grass him up. You would have to go with the first one, lets face it if she tells her fellow cops that Dexter is locked up and the last two seasons turn into a court room drama with Dexter finally being revealed as Miami's most prolific serial killer. Take a look at the sneak peek video below and let me know what you think.

I saw one rumour on the Internet a while ago that Debra never actually discovered Dexter at all and that Dexter was just having a dream, I suspect that rumour is not true thanks to that little clip, fair enough it doesn't give away much but that would just spoil the fun wouldn't it? Now of course Debra catching Dexter in the act is not going to be his only problem during the seventh season, remember the new creepy intern at Miami Metro, Louis? yeah, well he had the hand from the Ice Truck Killer investigation in his apartment before sending it off to Dexter, does he know that Dexter Morgan is The Bay Harbour Butcher? I guess we'll have to wait and see huh. Producers on Dexter had said when the announcement of two more seasons was made that season eight would probably be the last, that has now been confirmed by executive producer Sara Colleton told tv.com the following;

"We wanted to end it this year, but the network convinced us that it would be best to do it in two years. In some ways, this is a two-season series-ender. We have worked that out and know where it's going to end. Next year will definitely be the last year of Dexter. Absolutely"

For me it's disappointing that Dexter is coming to an end, it is after all the best show on TV, but on the other hand at least they have a plan on how the story is going to go. I'm currently catching up with Dexter's second season, I will be watching episodes nine and ten tonight, you may have noticed the reviews are only up to episode three "An Inconvenient Lie", don't worry I'll be catching up with that, just be assured that Masuka is cracking me up with all the shemale stuff. I'm looking to get to the season two finale in the next couple of days as I'm currently waiting on the season three Blu-ray dropping through my door.
Dexter season 7 starts on Showtime 30th September 2012 at 9pm and will be followed by the season two premiere of Homeland.

Now to a picture which I found whilst hunting around for the ones above, It was apparently tweeted by Jennifer Carpenter herself. The picture bears no relevance to the seventh season of Dexter but I thought it was pretty funny and just had to include it for Dexter fans enjoyment everywhere.
