A Distinct Lack of Enthusiasm

Friday, 2 November 2012

You may have noticed recently that I have not been doing much writing, the reason for this? Well, as stated above I am suffering from a distinct lack of enthusiasm right now. Truth is, I have not really been enjoying writing lately, my latest Person of Interest review was a real trawl for me, not because I didn’t enjoy the show I just could not be bothered to sit down and come up with 800 words (which I eventually did) to say something about the show. Even Dexter has suffered lately as the last two episodes “Run” and “Swim Deep” have not been reviewed, again I feel no real desire to go and write anything.

If you come here often then you’ll know that I make no secret of the fact that I’m not a writer, I feel I do a decent enough job but I’m realistic and know that I won’t be getting calls to do anything on a professional level anytime soon. I set up this blog/website whatever you want to call it two years ago now, initially like many other bloggers that was to make money, I didn’t really care to much about writing. As it went on I actually enjoyed the writing side of things more, that enjoyment has slipped in recent weeks/months and I just don’t feel as if it’s worth my time putting in as much effort as I do. As for the money, well that’s just laughable really especially after two years of doing this. You want know? Ok, in two years this website has earned me the grand total of £35, that’s it people, now do you see why I’m suffering from this distinct lack of enthusiasm?

I have actually had an excuse, as I have a lot going on right now in relation to my job and due to some commitments I had no time to write anything for the site. That is now done though and I find myself with the time to write, only problem is I just don’t feel like it. That’s what they say right? If you’re not enjoying it then don’t do it. That of course relates to hobbies as some people don’t actually enjoy their jobs but have to do it for money. For me I’m not enjoying blogging right now, and I’m not exactly needing it as a source of income, good job huh!

Am I going to give up writing? I wouldn’t say that, I keep getting things in my head but then open up my laptop and decide against it, but I haven’t given up just yet and I will be writing probably just not as often. I of course have not given up on this website, I am really proud of what I have built here at Movies Music & Television and don’t feel like I should give up on it. I will be renewing the .COM address as it is worth something, so unless I get a decent offer money wise I won’t be selling it.

I am currently considering my options, looking around at a few things (online of course) and deciding what I am going to do and how I am going to move forward with the site and writing in general. I’ll keep you posted and may try to garner up some discussion following this weeks Person of Interest.

I'm Back From My Holidays

Thursday, 21 June 2012

I was in there somewhere!
I thought I would put out a very quick post tonight to let you know I'm back from my holidays, yes even I go on holiday and for the last week I have been sunning myself in beautiful Majorca, I've also been eating loads too, but most importantly we were all inclusive and you know what that means.... FREE BEER. Yeah that's right FREE BEER, back to normality tonight as I have to go to the shop in the rain and buy my own, for the last week I've worn nothing more than shorts and T-Shirts but currently I'm wrapped up like Kenny from South Park. But never mind enough of my wining and back to FREE BEER, no sorry Blogging, as you can probably imagine I haven't done any blogs in the sun or with my beer but I had done a couple in advance which should have self published, for some reason they didn't do that, one is now wasted as it was last weeks movie releases, over 700 words long (funny too) and they don't auto publish for me, cheers Blogger. The other is a Noel Gallagher post which I'll put out over the next couple of days, I may or may not get tomorrows movie releases for you (loads of washing to do) and the rest will depend on how much catch up TV I get done over the next couple of nights with the beer I have to pay for, hey I'm still on holiday till Monday so it's fine.

I'm glad to see that my being away didn't effect viewing figures to much, there have been around 5000 hits whilst I've been lying in the sun not worrying about it at all, taking the total to nearly 150,000 hits for the year and a half we've been going. Regular commenter Ruben is also back so I need to get round to replying to those and remind all of you guys that it's FREE to comment here and I always reply.

So to cap off it's getting late and I'm off to the shop for that beer which I need to pay for, I'll be back tomorrow, if not then definitely Saturday, see you then.

The New Movies Music & Television, Hope You Like It.

Wednesday, 9 May 2012

Ok, so it's been a few days now and I thought I better check in and see how you like the new template, and some of the other changes that I've made. The template was changed for a couple of reasons, first and foremost was to make it easier to read, I think I've achieved that when we launched on Saturday with the latest Person of Interest review I thought it looked really good with lots more room for the text to be displayed, more emphasis was placed on the content rather than the two sidebars we had previously. My second aim was to hopefully improve hits the site receives from Google and other search engines, it seems to have done the trick this far and you may have noticed that POI knocked Geordie Shore off the top spot on the Popular Post section (rotates on 7 day basis) for the first time, Geordie Shore is a massive traffic puller for the site and having POI go above it was a real achievement for me as it has come close in the past but this time it's gone way and above it (172 hits in the three days it's been there).

I'm going to run through a few of the new things now, as well as talk about a couple of things that will be changed in the next few days.

Google Search: You may have noticed at the top of the right (and only) sidebar a search box has appeared, you can now search Google directly from the site, saves you going back to Google, waiting for it to load and then typing your search, just do it here.

Popular Posts replaced with Favourites: the Popular posts feature is something that I've always had on the site, unfortunately it doesn't really get much click through action so for that reason I have replaced it with the "Favourites" tag cloud, that makes it easier to find all your favourite TV shows right away and narrow down what your looking for. If you click one of these links the list of posts will appear on the left hand timeline of the home page which I'll explain now.

Homepage Timeline: This is the widget which displays all the latest posts on the homepage and sits on the left of the site just under the image slider. If you click links in the "Favourites" section to go see what's in the archive then every post which has been "tagged" with that word or words will appear here.

Image Slider: I already had one of these, difference is this one is a lot neater and a lot easier to maintain. The slider will display whichever TV shows I'm reviewing at the time along with the latest movie or Blu-ray review.

News Update: This widget sits above the image slider and acts as kind of an RSS feed for the site showing you all the latest posts, really it's just another way to attract you to click on another article which is a neat little feature I think.

Linking In: This was on the very bottom right of the blog and displayed links to various blogging directory's which this site was listed on. Google don't like that anymore and to be honest I can count on one hand the amount of traffic they all provided as a whole, the blog has been removed form all of those sites so I have removed their links and renamed the section "Stats and Readers", it now only has the StatCounter and Feedburner logos.

Still to come;

You may have noticed that the links on the top and bottom bars (the yellow ones) do not work, I'm working on that and we will see how it goes but it will probably end up with those links removed and me creating something which allows you to get to the "About" and "Contact" pages, more importantly than that are the "Movies A - Z" and "TV A - Z" pages, they will be fixed and available in the next couple of days.

There are going to be some advertising opportunities here to, I'm just busy working up the details on that right now but primarily it will be aimed at advertising for other blogs, products or websites.

I think that's about it, so what do you think? Do you like the new template? Did you find it easier to read? Please leave your comments and let me know what you think, maybe you have a suggestion on what I can add, something you liked before that I have removed, let me know I'm open to ideas, most importantly, enjoy.

Movies Music & Television: Changing it Up!

Friday, 4 May 2012

From this!
As you know I’m always looking to make Movies Music & Television better, not just for me but for you the regular readers and users. I’m always tweaking here and there in order to make the site as user friendly as possible and I think right now I have that down pretty
well, problem is when I look into my viewing and site navigation figures they don’t make for good reading, at least for me the owner of the site. So, how can I improve for both me and you?

Well there are going to be some changes, as you know the Internet is always evolving and as a website that likes to keep its readers whilst also adding new ones that means that I have to change too. Google is the biggest link into this site, I’m lucky enough to make front page with a few things whilst others are more random. Recently Google have
changed the goal posts in relation to their search algorithm, the aim of course is to rid their search engine of junk which is put out by Internet spammers, people who use SEO (Search Engine Optmization) to their advantage and stuff their articles with “keywords” that they hope will rocket them to the top of the search engines. I for one am pleased Google are looking to get rid of this spammy junk, as personally I think Movies Music & Television do not do that. Yeah there are adverts here but nothing that’s in your face and I’m not trying to sell you things all the time. I do say that I don’t do this for free, so the adverts are my wages so to speak.

As well as weeding out the junk Google also want to see quality websites being built which offer a better user experience, now like Google that one is top of my list. I want to make sure that when you come here it’s a good experience and that you stick around to see what I have to say on various issues. I would also like to see more direct traffic coming from Google, Yahoo and Bing by way of people typing our name into their search engines, this shows them that people want to see what I write and when they get here they want to stick around for a while.

The way the site is set up right now offers users a good experience I fell, but I also think it could be better, not being an SEO expert I don’t particularly optimise for Google and the other search engines, I tend to just play around with post titles and see how things go. That works ok for me but recently I have lost a lot of traffic which has got me thinking about the user experience here on the site and how easy it is to navigate to various articles.

To this!
Currently most people visiting the site never actually go to the home page, they land on various pages thanks to Google and from there they have a few options to visit other articles via the links at the bottom of that post, the popular post feature on the right sidebar and some picture links down on the left. For me looking at how sites move on
and change with the times I’m a little behind in terms of how slick things look and how easy articles are to read.

So to cut that very long story short I will be changing the way things look right now and as of this weekend I will be running a new template here on the blog. If your interested in seeing how it will look then go HERE (remember all the widgets are not added as yet) and visit our test blog, if you would rather wait for the surprise then do that but whatever you do be sure to come back because the new site is going to look amazing, very professional, very slick, very easy to navigate and it will be a brilliant experience for you as the user whilst also being full of great quality. I’ll be here as always until then with all your regular posts and I look forward to the weekend. As always don't forget to leave me with your feedback, don't like what you see? Then don't be shy in telling me, if you have any suggestions then feel free to drop me a line in the comments, all are welcome and I always take on borad your views.

PS: - I will probably change it tomorrow for the weekly Person of Interest review.

Movies Music & Television Hits 100,000 Pageviews, Thank You.

Monday, 5 March 2012

Would you beileive it? Movies Music & Television has just hit 100,000 pageviews (actually it was Friday night Saturday morning it's 101,000 now) and man am I pleased. What started as a bit of a hobby has turned into something really good, or at least I think it has. I always wanted my own website and starting Movies Music & Television was it, I started off small. For those of you who remember I just used to put out two or three posts a week at most, sometimes I didn't even bother. The site was named Movies Gaming & Video back in those days but I was quick to realise that I knew nothing about video games. I decided to try and make something of this site in January 2011 and changed the name to Movies Music & Television. For a while I ran the site with the .blogspot sub domain and in August 2011 I bought the .com address, from there the site has gone strngth to strength and in the last week pageviews have really gone up, over 700 yesterday.

I don't really have a lot to say, as you can guess I'm pretty pleased about the pageviews, the site is starting to get more and more from Twitter and it's nice to see that some people have subscribed to the site via Email. As always I encourage comments, join our chat. I always reply. Get yourself signed up for a Disqus account you can do it for FREE in the comments section right here.

How did I celebrate? Well I was up at 6am for work on Satrurday morning, that was fun, then Sunday I got pretty drunk Watching Newcastle teach Sunderland how to play Football, at least in the second half anyway. That is pretty much why we are celebrating now, work Saturday, drunk on Sunday.

So, just over 1 year old and I would say that Movies Music & Television is pretty much where I want it to be, my next aim 500,000 pageviews which I hope to acheive before the second year of the site, it would be nice if it was 1 million by then but that maybe be rather lofty ambition. What can you expect then, well more of the same. Did you catch the Spartacus Vengeance post earlier today? tomorrow I have The River, Wednesday will be Alcatraz, Thursday is The Taking of Pelham 123 Blu-ray, Friday will be the cinema releases, Saturday Person of Interest and Sunday I'm back with the TV previews and anything note worthy news wise. I have also just watched another couple of Dexter's first season so I will get those wrote up and posted some time soon.

I'll shout to some people now, firstly Glen at 1 Man! 365 Movies (get blogging Glen), go check him out. Tassa over at Eat Music. Fellow geordie Jo Jo, at JoJo's So Called Life, girls will love this. The funniest guy on the Internet Simple Dude.

Moving Forward: Movies Music & Television 4

Thursday, 12 January 2012

As you know I like to tweak around with the design of this site every now and again, this week is no different, however, Movies Music & Television will be staying like this for some time now in fact I don’t think I will be changing it again as I’m quite happy with things but, as always don’t be afraid to leave your feedback and I’ll make sure that the issues are addressed. First up, new tabs.

HOME – ABOUT ME – CONTACT

HOME – MOVIES – MUSIC – TELEVISION – REVIEWS – MOVIES ONLINE

You probably noticed that I have decided to have all of the top three tabs stay the same, there is nothing more they can say really.  The about me and contact sections will be updated with a little more information telling you how you can advertise here if you want to, along with some other information. Anyway the new tabs are listed below along with all the new and some old content you can get to from the links.  I’ll explain the new MOVIES ONLINE tab in a little more detail below.

MOVIES          News, Reviews, Blu-ray reviews, Trailers, DVD/Blu-Ray Releases

MUSIC           News, Reviews, Mixtapes, Featured Artist, Must Have Music

TELEVISION      News, Reviews, Trailers, Pilots, Reality

REVIEWS         Movie Reviews (A – Z), TV Reviews (A – Z)

MOVIES ONLINE        Lovefilm, Netflix

The MOVIES ONLINE tab now, what is it?  Well as you know I don’t do all this work for free, well I do actually but never mind.  MOVIES ONLINE is your chance to sign up with either Lovefilm or Netflix from this blog, the two links there take you to a page on this blog with a review of both services (Netflix one not done yet) and you have the opportunity to take a look at their site and sign up to a free no obligation trial.  So, that’s what it’s about take a look over there and see what you think, no obligation remember.

Like I said above the Netflix one is not done yet but if your not a member of Netflix and you live in the UK then go over there yourself as they have just launched the service in England and are offering a free one month trial, I have signed up and managed to do some catching up on Dexter, Breaking Bad and all ready have a list of movies just waiting to watch, even after the trial it's only £5.99 a month to continue your subscription.

So, there you have a little detail on the way the site is looking right now, hope you like it.  I want to make it as user friendly as possible and I'm hoping that the new TV Reviews and Movie Reviews (A - Z) make that a lot easier for you to navigate your way round here.  I encourage you to leave your feedback as always, the commenting system we use here is Disqus, it's free to sign up for an account which will come in handy on many other sites (some big ones) across the Internet who use Disqus.

Remember, there are some great looking TV shows coming up in January this year, I will be watching and reviewing them all, I'm also currently working my way through season 1 of both Dexter and Breaking Bad and have recently took to watching Spartacus: Gods of the Arena and The Wire which is being re-run from the start on Sky Atlantic HD Fridays at 9pm.  Person of Interest is back this week and later today I have a Blu-ray review of The Hangover coming up for you.

Movies Music & Television: Giving You More

Friday, 25 November 2011

Technically that's a little bit of a lie, I can't actually afford to give you anything as yet.  But it is my plan in the future to start running competitions for DVD's and music when this blog becomes a little more profitable.  So what's new?  Well not to much other than the week I've just had at work, with me and my colleague's finding out that our jobs are not as secure as we thought they might be.

I got to thinking straight away, what else can I do? You know as a proper job.....Well I thought why not start with the thing I know best.  The Internet, more importantly this site and maybe the network I could build up around it. If you have ever read the "About" page on this blog then you will know it came about one night almost a year ago now when I was sitting watching YouTube, go read about if you haven't already.

I started this blog with the hope that one day it may go somewhere, I don't know where exactly, probably on a rubbish heap somewhere if I'm any judge!  I'm not a professional writer, nor do I ever claim to be I just simply say what I think, some times it comes out better than others but I try.

Ok I've rambled on enough now, you came here to read about the new stuff, right?  The template of the blog changed lately and now has a image slider on the "Home" page, not seen it then go check it out, it also has 2 sidebars, the left being the smaller of the two and I have been looking for stuff to fill that one up a little.

First off I put a link to Moves Music & Television's YouTube channel there, in text it wasn't to effective so now I've changed that to a picture link, people like pictures apparently.  So there is the first little bit of networking, I know it's not complicated networking but the YouTube channel also has a link back to the site your on now.

Today I have added another little networking feature, one which I would really like you to bookmark especially if you live in the UK.  I have set up a shop/store with Amazon, you will see the new unit over on your left.  At the top of the unit you can click to visit my store, over there you can buy all the latest DVD's and music as well as all the old classics you know and love.  Make sure you pop over there and check it out, let me know what you think, it's basic I know but it's very easy to use and also has a search feature, so enjoy and happy shopping, like I said feel free to Bookmark the page, as you can with all my pages.

I have said in plenty of my posts I don't get paid for doing this, but I do make little money off advertising so if you want to shout me a beer any time and you see an advert for something you like then don't be shy to follow the link, after you have read my post of course.  This and the new store will all go towards Movies Music & Television running competitions and improving the blog further.

Thanks to all my readers for your continued support and again don't be shy, leave you comments I always respond, maybe not straight away but I will get round to it in the day.  Not following the blog already?  then take a look up the top left, there you can follow us through Facebook, Twitter and via RSS, just pick your favourite.

Thanks again.

State Of The Blog

Thursday, 3 November 2011

So how we doing?  Welcome to the all new MOVIESMUSICANDTELEVISION.COM, You may have noticed some changes around here recently, most notably of which is the new layout and the change in URL.  We are now minus the BLOGSPOT address.

So the new template, posts will still be layed out the same pretty much but you now have two sidebars and the home screen has an image slider (jquery slider, if your interested).  The main reason for this change is I wanted to distance myself from DAN'S MEDIA DIGEST, an awesome blog which I read daily,  we used the same template which you'll see if you go visit him, none of the writing is the same of course but the sites did look very similar and talk about the same things.
Some of the other changes here are stuff that’s not quite so big but time consuming on my part, time which in all honesty I haven’t really got.  Away from this blogging carry on I do actually have a real job and work shifts, getting more than one post out a day can sometimes be a struggle.  Enough of my whining anyways it was my choice to do this.

I’ve started to put more of a musical feel to the site lately, since it’s in the title of the site I really felt I should be doing more so you now get two posts a week about music, that’s a decision which has done well and the new music post is probably one of my most read, needless to say that post will be continuing.

I get hung up sometimes on what I think I should be writing about, thinking probably that other sites write about this show, maybe I should to.  I cover TV pretty well in my opinion, not quite as well as other sites but the shows currently being reviewed weekly here include: Homeland, Dexter, Terra Nova, Person of Interest and I briefly touched on the season 2 premiere of The Walking Dead.

The Walking Dead is a show I watch every week now but, I just don’t feel that I can come up with something worth putting out every week.  The same probably goes for Homeland, the show is pretty heavy going.  With these two shows I will probably dip in and out with reviews, meaning if there is something that I can come up with then I’ll put it out, if not then don’t expect to much.

From that there is another new post, the weeks TV previews both The Walking Dead and Homeland will still feature there along with the others as this has been a popular post viewing wise.

As always I’ll be keeping up the with the weekly cinema post, weekly news post, hopefully a weekly movie review and anything else which I think is funny or interesting and worth writing about.

I'll be back a little later with the mixtape, it's an 80's retro one this week, what can I say I was in a retro mood last night.  I would really appreciate your feedback on the new look, make sure you leave a comment below.

On last thing you'll notice the follow buttons for Facebook and Twitter at the top left, click to follow I really appreciate the support.

We're Going .COM (State Of The Blog)

Sunday, 25 September 2011

There seems to be some sort of lull at the moment as far as television goes, music isn't much better.  Good news though there is some good TV coming up and I'm sure that music will recover to.  Maybe I should be doing more movie reviews, let me know.  As you have probably guessed from the title of this post there is more good news Movies Music & Television is going (.COM).

That's right come next week (hopefully) the URL above will change from (moviesmusicandtelevision.blogspot.com) and will simply read (moviesmusicandtelevision.com) our very own domain, why the change?  There are a few reasons.  First and fore most I have always wanted this blog to look professional, hence the template I use currently with the link list along the top.  The site looks professional (in my opinion) but recently I have hit a bit of a lull as far as viewing figures go, just a month or so ago this site was getting almost 700 hits a day, it's now at a stage of struggling to get 400.  I know why and I'm working on it.  I'm hoping with the new (.COM) address that I can recover it to where it was, if not make it even better.

So what do you get for your money?  Well actually it's not going to cost you anything, just me!  It's not that expensive actually it's pretty cheap, dirt cheap in fact so if it doesn't work out then it hasn't cost me to much to find out.  Owning my own (.COM) is always something I have wanted to do so I'm kind of hoping that it will work out.

Is it going to change?  Yes would be the short answer.  I am just ironing out the details as they say but, the the idea at the minute is the layout will stay the same with an added bonus, I going to put one of those featured post sliders at the top of the page under the menu bars, you know the ones, they give you the title of some featured articles along with a little introduction, If I can't get that to work then the layout may change all together to a template which already has a slider, I'll keep you posted.   Other than that the posts will stay the same but I am working on a couple of new weekly posts as well as bringing back a weekly news round up that I used to do.

COMMENTS, why does no one comment?  I don't know, but I'm kind of hoping from this post on that will change.  I always encourage commenting and I will always respond, it may not be instant (I do have a real job) but I will get round to it in the day.

To finish off, a few questions. (please use the comments section for your answers)

Do you like this site and it's content?
Is it worth the (.COM) address?
Would you come back, or do you come back?
Do you subscribe in anyway (it's free)?

A few questions that I'm hoping I may get some positive answers from, remember comments.  They are just as important to me as you dropping by and reading this.

I'm Just A Pimp, Who Like's To Pimp His Blog

Thursday, 8 September 2011

Now that got your attention didn't it?  I'm just a pimp, not in that sense.  I have been spreading my brand across the tinterweb.  What?  I know it's hard to beileive I am usually so busy writing stuff for this site that I don't have time to do work elsewhere.

Over here at Movies Music & Television I offer the chance to guest post on the blog, you can follow the link I have just provided or you can visit the contact section, remember though it has to be something to do with one of the subjects above.

So who have I been pimping myself out to?  My good blogging friend Glen at 1 Man, 365 movies that's who.  Glen has got a big mission on his hands he has promised to watch and review 365 movies this year, he is currently up to movie number 57 of that challenge and so far I I have read and commented on around 20 movies I think, ok maybe not that many but I made a commitment to Glen a while a go that I would comment on every one of his posts.

Wht did Glen get from me?  A movie review of course, as that is what his blog is about and I had some going spare.  I have taken lately, don't ask why! To watching made for TV movies on the SyFy channel.  I know most of them are bad, in fact most of them are really bad.  They bill them as horror movies when truth be told they are badly edited comedy movies which at times make you laugh so hard you think you are watching The Hangover, That may not be such a good example as none of the movies on this station are in the same league as that but you get my drift.

I got to watching SyFy the other night whilst doing some channel hopping, there I saw the movie The Human Centipede was on, a movie I had never even heard of until I was in Lidl getting myself some beer (you can read the full story at the link).  I won't tell you to much about the movie, go visit Glen.  What I will say is that SyFy should open up a new genre of movies and call it sick, The Human Centipede would be at home there.  It's a good job that England had just beat Wales 1 - 0 at Wembley on the night I watched the movie, why?  Well I had a couple of beers, six actually so I was already a couple of sheets to the wind, maybe that's why I left it on so long.

Remember get over to 1 Man, 365 Movies read the review and leave your comments, be sure to follow this blog and Glen's in some way.  You can subscribe to the RSS feeds, follow on Facebook, follow on Twitter, follow on Google and you can even follow both blogs through Networked Blogs, that's a Facebook application, enjoy the posting.

Remember in the next couple of weeks this site may look a little different, we're going (.COM), and I'm hoping you will all come and join me.

Movies Music & Television: How We Doin?

Monday, 25 July 2011

This is one of those State Of The Blogs posts but as everyone else calls it state of the blog I've gone with something else.  I wanted to put something out just to keep everyone up to date as to what's going on here, as always I ask that you give me your thoughts in the comments section below.

Ok first things first the template the blog currently uses will be staying this way, I like it.  It's easy to use and requires very little maintenance on my part.  Not only that but the posts are easy to read and they lay out well with both pictures and videos.  One more thing to change with the template are the buttons at the top (Movie Reviews, Movie News etc) If you read this blog often then you may have noticed that they don't work yet.  I am getting round to it and it should hopefully be rectified by the end of this week.

You also may have noticed that there was a featured video section on the right sidebar for the last week or so, that has gone now.  It looked ok I thought but the pages where taking to long to load on a feature that wasn't really required.  I may put something else there in relation to a featured artist or something, I haven't decided yet so it may well just stay the same.

Now onto the posting of articles or blogs, lately they have been getting pretty structured and I try to keep them to certain times.  As always that won't change I intend to post everyday, but what about you ask?  well below I have detailed it for you, again any suggestions on things you would like to see or not like to see are appreciated.

Monday - The Monday Movie Review

This started today and as always the movie won't necessarily be new but every Monday a movie review will be posted.  Movie reviews are quite hard to get traffic to as you can imagine, there are so many on the net but I enjoy doing it.

Tuesday - New Movie Trailers and Sirens

Two posts for you on a Tuesday and one of which is new, since removing the featured video section I thought maybe I could do a post with trailers of upcoming movies, the post will mainly be videos with a short of what the movie is and who stars.  Sirens is a TV show here in England which is massively popular and has been posted about on here for 4 weeks now.  There are only two episodes left and I will find something to put in it's place when it's finished.  (maybe it will be Dexter reviews form the previous seasons)

Wednesday - Falling Skies

As it has been for the last few weeks, Falling Skies will be reviewed every Wednesday if you don't watch it then get caught up and start leaving me some comments.

Thursday - Midweek Mix Tape

This is the post that was called Must Have Songs For Your iPod, which is popular viewing wise but does not get any comments.  So I have changed the name and will put the post out through the week keeping you up to date with all the latest music.

Friday - New Cinema Releases and The Killing

Two posts again on a Friday the first will be in the morning and notes all the new movie releases that week, the post went for a while but was a popular one for traffic so last Friday I started it again and it's up their with the most viewed of the week again.  In the evening a post will go out in relation to the Killing, the popular TV show has about 11 episodes left.

Saturday - Dexter

My favourite post and TV show at the minute, the review of Dexter will be out every Saturday, again it's quite a popular one hence I'm going to review the previous seasons through the week as and when I watch them.

Sunday - Must Have Songs For Your iPod (with a twist)

Not the regular post that's changed remember this will be in relation to a specific artist.  It starts this Sunday with the Foo Fighters.

So that is how the post structure will work, as always if I hear something on a TV show, movies or music and feel the need to put something out about it, then I will put a post out.

The blog had it's second guest post the other day, that's something I intend to continue.  If you want to get something up here then go to the contact section and E-Mail me at the address there with your post, I'll publish it here and you will get whatever links you like in the post.

There are plenty of good shows to come.  Terra Nova and Alcatraz have been posted about here, I will be watching those and reviewing them also coming up soon is the X Factor, as I did with Britain's Got Talent I will review every show.  And Two And A Half Men returns soon with Ashton Kutcher so that should be worth a watch.

Finally, I just want to hear some thoughts on what I done with the movie review post today.  If you have read it then you will notice there is a scrolling Amazon feature with the DVD's that have been mentioned, I don't want the blog to be over promotional and put people off, so let me know does it look ok?  Or does it put you off?
